Our low vision client requires a reading volunteer to help him keep up to date, hear what is on the written page and have some general discussions. You do not need any previous experience, just a willingness to make a difference in your community.

Reading to a low vision person is a great way for individuals to organise life, get a better understanding of the world around them and overcome isolation. This role may involve a coffee while reading the newspaper.

Vision Australia strives to assist our clients live the life they choose. The role is extremely flexible and only requires a little spare time each week to assist our client. While not essential, it would be beneficial if you have access to a comprehensive insured vehicle to enable you and the client get out and about to grab a coffee and paper in town.
