Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or a cuppa, listen to music or play a game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
Would you like to visit an older person in an Aged Care Home or their own home and make a real difference in their life? We have a friendly 64 year old gentleman living in an aged care home in MORNINGTON who seeks a friendly visitor to share conversation and coffee together. He enjoys movies and music such as Van Morrison .
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.
Good English communication skills required however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language very welcome.
