Dymocks Children's Charities are looking for an events volunteer to support our fundraising team raise funds through our annual Gala Dinner and 2019 Golf day. This office-based volunteer role will involve updating contact lists, securing prizes, contacting attendees, preparing social media content, sourcing raffle bags and other event administration tasks. This would be a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in event management or event fundraising. You will be supported by the Fundraising team and get an unique insight of planning large-scale events.
The Cause Dymocks Children’s Charities is an Australia-wide, tax-deductible charity providing high quality, books of choice to pre-primary and primary school age children in priority locations. Through our literacy programs, we aim to change kids’ lives, one book at a time. Over the last 12 months, Dymocks Children’s Charities has delivered over 40,071 books to 27,000+ children across 165 locations in Australia.
The Role We are looking for a superstar volunteer who:
- Is able to commit 1-2 days a week for approximately 6-8 hours until mid-April
- Has excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Can work independently
- Has great attention to detail
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
When? One or two weekdays each week for approximately 6-8 hours until mid-April.
Where? Our office is based in Sydney CBD in the iconic Dymocks Building.
