Diverse Voices works in partnership with QLife the National LGBTIQ+ Peer Support telephone and web chat service.

The helpline operates everyday of the year from 3pm until 12am and Diverse Voices are currently seeking individuals that identify as LGBTIQ+ and would like to become Peer Support Telephone counsellors.

Then Diverse Voices could be just what you're looking for. We are seeking people whom have a strong sense of self and self awareness, and have the capacity to understand and help others proactively whilst maintaining clear boundaries of responsibility.

As this is a peer support service we do not require any previous experience of counselling.

Full training will be provided in Meeanjin/Brisbane.

To be successful for 2024 roles you must be able to attend ALL the below mentioned training dates. If you cannot attend the below dates you will not be able to complete the required training to begin as a Volunteer Peer Supporter in 2024. Next ASIST TRAINING will take place on the 1st & 2nd of May & the 10th and 11th of May. Followed by Diverse Voices training on the 25th of May, the 1st of June and the 8th of June.
