Ability and interest for walking around cemeteries.
Computer skills required for internet research of military and personal histories.
Ability and willingness to liaise with local cemetery authorities.
Organisational skills for management of the dedication ceremony.
Graphic design skills for development of brochures and other marketing material.
Please Note: As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Volunteer Personal Accident Insurance)
General Committee member role, utilising your particular skills and interests.
Roles may include researching military records, finding the personal story of a soldier, organising the design of the plaque, placement and erection of headstone, organising the dedication ceremony.
All volunteers will be mentored in learning new skills if required.
As a small newly formed organisation, we are in need of volunteers to assist with general project management. It is anticipated that there are over 1000 soldiers throughout the State, who deserve to be recognized and their stories told. Help us remember those soldiers who have served.
