The Heart and Lung Transplant Trust of Victoria is a small, entirely volunteer-run organisation which provides practical and peer support to people who have received, or are waiting for, heart and/or lung transplants. We run a number of events throughout the year, including fundraising and transplant community social events.
We currently seek an Events Officer to take on both a coordination role across all of our events, and provide an extra pair of hands at the events we run. There is a lot of scope in this role to use your own creative flair and try out new event ideas for the HLTTV.
This role would be best suited to someone who is a self-starter, reliable, and can take on a leadership role within the committee around events planning and management. Estimated time commitment is approx 3 hours per week, however this is not evenly spread across the year (ie more weekly hours when events are happening, fewer when there are no events on).
We don't have physical offices, so all events planning work can be done from home. Attendance at events, and attendance at our quarterly committee meetings, are essential for this role, and so the role would suit someone who lives in or near the Melbourne metro area. This is a volunteer role, however any out of pocket costs will be reimbursed.
Contact Belinda MacLeod-Smith (HLTTV President) for more information, including a detailed position description. If you are applying through the website portal, please fill out the 'Skills and experience' section when applying, so we can respond to you appropriately.
