The Salvation Army Melbourne operates a Coffee van on Friday and Saturday nights at the Queen Street Maxi Cab rank, outside CQ Night Club. The Van sells hotdogs to people exiting nightclubs and provides free coffee to taxi drivers to encourage them to use the taxi rank. The coffee van is a social enterprise, where the profits go directly to support Melbourne’s homeless community. The Lighthouse coffee van operates from 11pm to 4am, Friday and Saturday nights.

Role: We are looking for friendly and capable volunteers to make coffee and sell hotdogs to partygoers who are exiting the clubs and hand out coffee to taxi drivers. All proceeds go towards funding The Salvation Army Melbourne’s homelessness programs.
Hours of operation: 11pm to 4am, Friday and Saturday nights.
