In this role, you will develop a mutually cooperative and supportive relationship with one student, or occasionally a small group, by engaging them in various activities outside of the classroom.

For example: Activities can include one-to-one assistance with academic work (eg: reading, maths) or playing games, art/crafts, sports activities, building projects and other ideas can be discussed with the school. Whilst academic work can be an element of the mentoring time, it does not need to be the main focus. Providing social and emotional support to encourage the student mentee to make positive life choices. Helping the student mentee to set goals and work toward accomplishing them. We will discuss suitable matches with you based on the student’s need and your skills and experience.

Must be over 18 years of age

  • Must be eligible to live and work in Australia
  • Written application
  • Provide two personal / professional references who have known you for at least 2 years
  • Undertake a candidate interview
  • Volunteer National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
