About this opportunity
The Regional Coordinator will recruit, train, support, manage and give recognition to volunteers within their designated region. Your role as the coordinator will raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services within their region.
Commitment of one or two days per week
Own a reliable and fully insured car
Have personal resources: Computer, Internet, Digital Camera
Ability to work from home, visit schools and travel within the region allotted.
A working with children card must be applied for and issued or already have a current one.
To successfully pass the Dog Team Assessment with your own dog or dog you are closely associated with.
There will be a training period of one school term. This period will be a time where you will volunteer with your dog at a local school each week and will not undertake any coordinating tasks. This gives Story Dogs and the potential coordinator time to determine if they want to go ahead with becoming a fully functional coordinator.
