About this opportunity
Listen and talk with resident, allowing time for them to tell their story. Create a book with them summarising their life. Walk in the garden with them. Read magazines and books and write letters for them. 2-3 hours per day. 7 days per week.
Benefits: The satisfaction of helping older people who are often lonely and feeling as though people have stopped caring for them.
Notes: Have a patient and caring approach. May be asked to assist with feeding and pushing wheelchairs so need to be fit and willing to help with this.

Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.
Have a patient and caring approach with the elderly. They will need to accept being guided and coached in how to communicate with the residents. They may be asked to assist with feeding and possibly helping push wheelchairs, so ideally they need to be fit and willing to help with this. Be reliable, agreeable in temperament, kind and non-judgemental.
2-3 hours per day between 9.30 am and 4.30pm. 7 days per week. Especially weekends.Good for
