Provide a fun social experience for participants. Encourage and motivate participants in the program to participate in activities.
Empower participants to enhance and use skills they already have.
Foster a confidence and desire to acquire new interests, skills and experiences.
Support participants to engage positively with each other in the group.
Assist participants to identify potential recreational interests.
Encourage participants to pursue recreation interests independently.
Assist with set up and pack down of the group.
We support individuals to plan and achieve their recreation interests to create a meaningful and enjoyable lifestyle that promotes their mental, emotional and physical health. We support our participants to connect to their local community groups as well as to other services they may require.
The aim is to occupy the resident through recreational activities such as art and any other form of recreation the resident will engage in. We strongly believe that the role of the volunteer will make a difference and increase this individual’s quality of life. We require someone who has a non-judgemental approach, can show empathy, and have great enthusiasm and patience.
National Police Certificate *.
A volunteer with experience with people who have alcohol issues would be desirable.
