About this opportunity
On-water volunteers will work with the community, schools, and people with disabilities to facilitate our mission to “act as a catalyst for change, offering opportunities to people with disabilities and those at a disadvantage.” He/she will gain the incredible experience of making a difference to people’s lives while being responsible for safety, engagement and helping our clients feel amazing. Sailing experience and/or teaching experience is not essential, though passion and commitment are imperative. The ideal candidate is committed, organized, enthusiastic and works well with people. This position requires balancing on-water responsibilities and true people skills.

Reliability and punctuality a must.
Our Programs run during the week and at weekends throughout the year. Regular sails are from 9am - 12:00pm and 12:30pm - 2:30pm. We are looking for long term commitment to ensure that our programs offer consistency, development and continual improvement.Interested in

SWD gives volunteer orientation followed by an on-water assessment which will give you a crew level designation which allows you to hop on board with other crew—all on-water volunteers are assessed.Reimbursement
SWD does not provide any reimbursement or sailing training, however, you will learn about and acquire basic sailing skills by participating.
