Join CVA as we partner with members of Lamington Landcare Group to remove weeds growing along the upper reaches of Christmas Creek and its tributaries and plant native species to re-generate this region. By carrying out this work we envisage an increase in the abundance and spread of native plants which will create more suitable habitat for animal species.

The focus of the Congwong Beach sand dunes restoration project is removal of invasive species from the dunes, to rehabilitate and re-establish the native vegetation. Sand dunes are vital in protecting the Sydney coast line.

Working bees are informal but informative gardening sessions which may include harvesting, planning and tending to the plants - planting, watering, weeding, pruning, mulching, and harvesting again.
