Join CVA as we partner with members of Lamington Landcare Group to remove weeds growing along the upper reaches of Christmas Creek and its tributaries and plant native species to re-generate this region. By carrying out this work we envisage an increase in the abundance and spread of native plants which will create more suitable habitat for animal species.
With flexible hours, this opportunity is the perfect way to contribute to the protection of our natural world by applying your clerical experience and reliability in the following key areas: 1. Helping to ensure Work For the Dole (WFD) administrative requirements are met. 2. Collating, updating and maintaining events clearly on the board/callender. 3. Filing documents and maintaining filing cabinet labels and functionality etc. 4. General clerical duties as required.
I would love to have someone, come in, and just help sort out files, and make neat excel spreadsheets, from all the rough data that I have in my home office. I am so busy, actually "doing stuff", that keeping files neat and current is getting beyond me. Have asked for 5 volunteers, but that would be a job sharing scenario, so people can do different days etc. A "switched on" progressive alternative hippy kind of person would be ideal, but not necessary :) Esp if they love Music and the Ocean

We clean beaches around the world, and do school education, so, we require money to pay for petrol, and printing of Flyers, and Musicians and all the other aspects of a sustainability and music festival! The SES is an emergency services organisation that assists the community during storms and natural disasters. The service is also called upon to work with the Police Department in searching for missing persons and assist with rescues.
The Education Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of the education program at the centre. They will liaise with local schools and groups to promote conservation and sustainability and enhance the public's enjoyment of the environment through teaching and interpreting the natural world, therefore a commitment & enthusiasm for environmental conservation & sustainable development is required.
The Activities Co-Ordinator is responsible for the development & delivery of the school holiday activity program at the centre. Working closely with the Centre Co-ordinator, Department Heads & Volunteers the Activities Co-Ordinator will work to ensure the program is inclusive, fun & engaging for children of varying ages whilst adhering to the Centres environmental & sustainable framework.
