Gardening and Grounds Maintenance

Do you love gardening and working outdoors? We are looking for an enthusiastic person to assist the grounds maintenance team at our independent Sunshine Coast college. Tasks include gardening, mulching, assisting with ongoing maintenance around the college, painting, and odd jobs. A love of outdoor tasks is essential, as is working well as a team and a sense of humour. All applicants will need a Blue Card and will undergo a Working With Children check. The college will assist with this process.

The Journalist volunteer assists in finding fun, entertaining and interesting people and personalities involved in the Nationals and capturing video interviews with those people that will then be published on the UniSport Australia YouTube channel.

Operations Crew assist in the delivery of all operations components of the event across all disciplines. Please note – this role requires a large amount of manual handling and may not be appropriate for anyone for which this may be a problem.

Coaches for Little Athletics

Training days are currently Tuesday and Thursday, although day could be changed if suitable to majority of athletes. To coach / train athletes aged 5-17 with the overall fitness, athletic techniques and LAWA rules. We are hosting a level 1 Accredited training ASAP and would be happy to fund suitable candidate for long term commitment. Resources can be provided to upskill suitable person/ persons.

Line Marker/Equipment Maintainer/Handyman

Mark the Arena lines on Weekly/Fortnightly basis includes 400m track. Jump Pits, Javelin and Shot Put & Discus lines. If maintained then easy to over mark before they get light and fade. First Marking for season is professionally done to ensure accuracy and detail. Paint/fix/modify/source equipment and parts as required for safe and technical requirements of equipment and storage areas.
