  3. Eastern curlew habitat restoration project at Lee Point, Darwin

    The eastern curlew (Numinous madagascariensis) is critically endangered around Australia. This project aims to restore important habitat to protect the eastern curlew and support the growth of the local population. We will be carrying out different restoration activities to improve the habitat and doing bird surveys to monitor the eastern curlew population at Lee Point Reserve.     This project aims to protect and improve habitat for sand goannas (Varanus gouldii), and to encourage the reintroduction of the atlas moth (Attacus wardi).
