    This project aims to help reduce and control numbers of cane toads in local areas of Darwin.   2. Eastern curlew habitat restoration project at Lee Point, Darwin

    The eastern curlew (Numinous madagascariensis) is critically endangered around Australia. This project aims to restore important habitat to protect the eastern curlew and support the growth of the local population. We will be carrying out different restoration activities to improve the habitat and doing bird surveys to monitor the eastern curlew population at Lee Point Reserve.   3. Atlas Moth Restoration Project in Darwin

    This project aims to protect and improve habitat for sand goannas (Varanus gouldii), and to encourage the reintroduction of the atlas moth (Attacus wardi).     This year, we got so excited for Clean up Australia day, we decided to have it early! We will be cleaning up marine debris that was washed up onto Towra Point Nature Reserve shores. This is a key internationally vital habitat for the endangered Eastern Curlew and other shore birds. With more rubbish and weeds encroaching on shore each day, the birds have less and less space to roost. With your help, we can help make this a perfect oasis for these incredible animals.
