    Join our one- day tree planting project around Point Ormond and Elwood area. Together we can improve our valuable native habitat as well as protect and enhance the biodiversity of the Port Phillip region. Trees for Life requires volunteer bushcarers working at one or a number of native bushland locations on the Fleurieu Peninsula eg Victor Harbor, Encounter Bay, Goolwa, Finniss, Strathalbyn and more. After attending a 1 day training workshop (half day theory, half day in field) volunteers will participate in weed management (forking out weeds, cutting, clubbing and herbicide). Average 50 hours per year.

    Do you have an interest in looking after the environment? Are you able to give the time and commitment needed to follow through the seedling growing project over a 6 month period? A volunteer grower raises native seedlings in their backyard over summer from seed until they are ready for planting. A complete growing kit is provided with seeds, soil, planting tubes, boxes, fertiliser and a Grower's Handbook. Trees for Life provides assistance and advice throughout growing period.
