The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology has a number of Events throughout the year that require Volunteers to help us with Setup and Preparation and Assisting with Catering.
The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to provide support for our Marketing and Sponsorship Manager.
Throughout the year the Museum hosts a series of small events. These include a lecture series run by the Abbey Museum Friends, Picnic at Pemberley - a regency themed boutique event, a Medieval Christmas - an evening of Gregorian Chant and a Christmas Market. In this role our volunteer would be involved with the development, preparation and hosting of our events.
The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with keeping our facilities clean and tidy.. The Museum and Hall welcomes many visitors and students and is used for our events and activities. Keeping them clean is important and impacts on the visitor experience. We are committed to providing our visitors with a positive experience when they visit the Museum.
The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with making and maintaining props for the annual Medieval Festival and other public programs. The Museum has an active annual program and our props are an important part of providing quality and engaging experience.
The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with the care and maintenance of the gardens and grounds. The gardens are an integral part of the Museum’s visitor experience and we need you to help to keep them looking beautiful and inviting for our patrons. You can work at your own pace and just enjoy working outdoors in a lovely environment with a bunch of friendly people. We have a great Team who are welcoming to new people.
The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with presenting our education programs to school students and also our school holiday program activities. The Abbey Museum presents a series of programs for students including an Egyptian and a Roman archaeological dig, mummification, a medieval knight program and two Aboriginal Heritage trails.
