Uniting Age Well/Strathdon require a Volunteer Café Assistant for Marny's Café. Apply your customer service and communications skills to assist with preparing hot and cold beverages, handling money, unpacking supplies and cleaning. Also, other duties as required. Uniting Age Well - Strathdon Community is a vibrant residence in Forest Hill where you are supported to age well and get the best out of life. This position is for a person to read stories to people who are visually impaired.
We are looking for volunteers to operate our kiosk. You will be required to make coffees from our coffee machine and serve biscuits, sell goods from a kiosk cupboard and clean up afterwards.
Help our residents enjoy poetry and reading. We are looking for someone to read poetry and short stories to our residents at our aged care facilities across various locations.
Can you assist us with our transition care for our residents. We are looking for friendly volunteers who are able to read newspapers, play games or just come and have a chat.
We are looking for someone to facilitate a Mens Discussion Group. You will need to be available from 9am - Midday on Wednesday mornings. Topics could include Current affairs and reminiscing about our past, or discussing videos. You will be required to provide support for these group, assist with morning tea during the session and to undertake some research to aid the discussion.
If you have basic gardening skills and are available any day during the week within business hours we'd love to hear from you.
