  • Emergency Relief Volunteer

    Baptist Care SA

    The Emergency Relief (ER) Volunteer assists clients who are experiencing financial hardship through the provision of food parcels, food voucher, petrol voucher and PBS (chemist) prescriptions. The ER Volunteer is required to meet with clients through scheduled appointments, which are held weekly from Monday – Thursday. Administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and tidying up of ER room may also be undertaken by the ER volunteer when not meeting with clients.

Hundreds of South Australian's visit our WestCare Centre for food, shelter, support and advocacy. We provide a safe space for people experiencing homelessness to sit, chat, and share a meal with other community members. Volunteering in the kitchen allows you to learn food preparation skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!
