The Community Food Hub provides low cost essentials to individuals with a concession card, student card or ImmiCard. This includes pensioners, students and people experiencing homelessness. Volunteering in the Food Hub allows you to learn retail skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!
The Emergency Relief (ER) Volunteer assists clients who are experiencing financial hardship through the provision of food parcels, food voucher, petrol voucher and PBS (chemist) prescriptions. The ER Volunteer is required to meet with clients through scheduled appointments, which are held weekly from Monday – Thursday. Administrative tasks such as filing paperwork and tidying up of ER room may also be undertaken by the ER volunteer when not meeting with clients.
The Volunteer Administration Assistant provides customer service and administration support for the Baptist Care team at Inner City/WestCare site.
The WestCare Centre provides a free breakfast and low cost lunch to anyone needing a helping hand. Hundreds of South Australian's visit our WestCare centre for food, shelter, support and advocacy. We provide a safe space for people experiencing homelessness to sit, chat, and share a meal with other community members. Volunteering in the kitchen allows you to learn food preparation skills, work as a team, and give back to those who need it most!
