This data entry volunteer role sits within Seeing Eye Dogs and will support the Administration Program. We exist to develop and maintain innovative, high quality dog guide services valued by people who are blind or have low vision and is the only nation wide provider of Seeing Eye Dogs.
Connect telephone calls for participants of different telephone groups. These groups run for socially and demographically isolated people all across Australia. We cover all topics of interest and this valuable service is absolutely free! Make a difference in people's lives by connecting them together! You would not be running the groups but making the initial connection. This role will mainly cover general administration duties such as basic data entry.
Telelink is a regular on going telephone based group program that is delivered via teleconference. It provides social and peer support, special interest and recreation activities.
Assist Client Service Workers (CSW) and clients with group activities such as Walking, Cooking, crafts inclusive of Leather Work, Wood Work, evenings visiting restaurants and cafes. The SCW who will love your support will also direct and train you to ensure you feel good about the role. The volunteers won’t be doing all these activities – but choosing which activity best suits their own schedule so that the volunteer can commit to the program.
We are looking for volunteers who can share a role of driving a mini bus on Fridays. You will be driving some of our most lovely clients & staff to various locations for a social day out. Various events have been a day at the beach, off to the Art Gallery, maybe a shopping trip, a local trendy eatery amongst so much more. As well as being a safedriver and practicing Covid safe practices, you get to join in the fun and engagement with the group.
