We need people who knit, crochet or sew who would like to make items for us to sell in our shop. All the proceeds support hospital initiatives. This would largely be a role that you do in your home but we will show our gratitude by making you part of the volunteer family.
Opportunity to use your musical skills and passion for the joy of patients. Musicians required to volunteer at St John of God Hospital. Working under the resident Music Therapist, you will create musical moments for patients. This could be by way of singing songs with or without musical accompaniment (instruments need to be portable and suitable for a hospital environment). We strongly recommend that you have at least 3 COVID vaccinations and the annual flu vaccination.
Do you have a qualification and experience in hairdressing? Do you have a few hours a week and a desire to help others? We would love to offer our patients in palliative care a freshen up. We know what a difference it makes. We strongly request that you have had at least 3 COVID vaccinations to join our volunteers.
Do you feel strongly about helping people experience the joy of a memorable moment? Providing companionship to a patient who has dementia. Reassuring the patient. Visiting role - diverting conversation and playing games. We strongly request that you have had at least 3 COVID vaccinations to join our volunteers.
Do you have a couple of hours free that you could brighten a patients day by giving them a relaxing hand and foot massage? Assist in providing additional care and support to patients by offering hand and foot massage. We strongly request that you have had at least 3 COVID vaccinations to join our volunteers
