Adjacent to the Pimpama River, this region is home to koalas, squirrel gliders and other endemic wildlife and is an ideal place to learn about conservation and habitat restoration. Volunteers will be undertaking various habitat restoration activities in order to enhance the biodiversity and conservation values of this area.

In fact, it's only known location is in Neilson Park itself, which runs alongside the heritage listed Greycliffe house and borders the iconic Sydney Harbour and Shark Beach. Working in conjunction with National Parks and Wildlife, we are helping to reduce the number of threats this unique plant faces.

Malabar Headland - Where Conservation Meets History

The headland is an area of national significance for its natural, cultural and heritage values. This year we will be working very closely alongside the old historical wartime trainline that runs through the site.

Marine Debris Surveys - Beautify the Beaches of Darwin

Darwin has a variety of unique and beautiful beaches. A new location will be surveyed each Wednesday for marine debris, which are then sorted and catalogued on the day and added to a national database (Tangaroa Blue). Sites include Rapid Creek/Nightcliff, Mindil, East Point, Buffalo Creek, Casuarina and Lee Point. With your help we can reduce debris and preserve our beaches.
