We are seeking wonderful volunteers who can prepare horses for lessons, leading horses in lessons and horsemanship with horses. Not all positions require full hands on horse work, there are assistance roles, cleaning out yards, grounds maintenance, helping with lessons and many more other roles required.
We need Pet Therapy volunteers who will bring their friendly cats in to visit our residents. Just 1 hour can make all the difference to our pet loving residents. Any day, any time. Wetlands play a critical role in flood mitigation, water and carbon storage, and supporting an abundance of unique local plant and animal species. Conservation Volunteers are building a sustainable strategy for the management of this area and invite volunteers to be a part of this management with activities including weed removal, watering, tree trimming, track maintenance, tree planting, wildlife monitoring and surveys. This project aims to help reduce and control numbers of cane toads in local areas of Darwin. Like working with Horses and helping people? An energetic person is required to groom, saddle and lead horses during riding lessons for adults and children with disabilities.
We run hippotherapy (therapy using a horse) and therapeutic riding programs for children and adults with a disability. We are a Disbality Services Commission registered provider. We need assistance with our riding sessions to walk with clients or help out in other areas.
Animal carers are sought to assist with care of wildlife at the centre in Lesmurdie.
Approx. 2 hours of an afternoon to feed the bunnies & replace water
