The Youth Advisory Committee is a forum for passionate young people who want to make a difference in their community, be influential in local government decision making, and represent young people in Port Phillip. Open to young people between ages of 16 - 22!
Are you recently retired? Perhaps you have some spare time once a month to be involved in a wonderful organisation? We are looking for skilful committee members who may have a secretarial / financial / marketing or educational backgrounds. You could just be passionate about the environment or wanting to make a difference in your community.
The Secretary is the main contact person for general management of the Committee and is the first point of contact for Eisteddfod – receiving postal, email & verbal correspondence. He/she would liaise with other executive members, convenors of the disciplines. There are supporting secretarial roles - such as Minute Secretary, Sponsorship Secretary but it is important IF AT ALL POSSIBLE for the secretary to attend monthly meetings on Wednesday evenings in February - July
Relay for life is the world’s largest cancer fundraising event. Victoria has over 70 events running each year and The annual Bellarine Relay for life will be held in October with teams of 30-45 walking in a ‘Relay’ style throughout the night to raise funds. The Bellarine Relay For Life event in just six years has raised over $430,000 and engaged with over 160 teams and 3,500 locals to support those in the community in the fight against cancer.
