The treatment plant is a home to over 270 species of birds, and you work will help protect the area that they live. Previous projects have been very successful in elimitating mature boneseed plants, however recent germination of seeds has caused this fast growing weed to threaten the orchids. Your help is needed to control the boneseed!

Pinkerton Forest on the Western Recycled Treatment Plant is registered as a Land For Wildlife Site. The grassy woodland is identified as critically endangered on the EPBC Act (Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act). This is an ongoing project since 1992, with ongoing threats from invasive weeds and small boxthorn. Wildflowers and birdlife are abundant. Come and enjoy a day in the outdoors and assist CVA with weed removal and revegetation activities within the Forest!
