We are looking for an experienced volunteer gardener who can provide support to our team of gardeners from the Karen Community (Communities of Burma).
As a gardener/handyman volunteer you will be assisting in keeping the grounds of Franklin House in great order - mowing lawns, tending shrubs and tidying up leaves, etc. Duties as a handyman may include - window washing, general repair work, e.g. tighten handles, touch-up painting plus other duties as required. Days to be negotiated.
Main Duties/Responsibilities: Stocking the Food Hub with harvested produce and donated produce. Once the hub is well stocked, then the delivery/collection boxes are filled with produce. Work in the food hub, greeting and engaging with customers and keeping a tally of customer numbers. Assist with unloading the Second Bite food delivery each Tuesday morning and division of produce into required amounts for Tuesday and Thursday stock. Assist with packing produce boxes for collection .
