The project: Broger’s Creek located in Kangaroo Valley, is an absolutely beautiful part of the world and is also the location where the platypus sequences for David Attenborough's Secret Life of Mammals were filmed! We are building an interpretative walk incorporating edible and medicinal endemic plants that will serve to maintain a connection to country that is inherent in the local indigenous culture, and we need your help to plant everything!

Our Intersection Collections is a fundraising initiative for Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage, Victoria's first no-kill pet rabbit rescue. Wetlands play a critical role in flood mitigation, water and carbon storage, and supporting an abundance of unique local plant and animal species. Do you love dogs and/or cats? An animal shelter based in Eatonsville (near Grafton) is desperately in need of volunteers to help with the day-to-day care of the cats and dogs at the facility.
Looking after sick and injured native animals, including reptiles and birds, until they can be released in the wild. Includes feeding and cleaning.
Enjoy a nice leisurely walk around the river once a week. Feed the turtles. Have some great conversation. Your company and your assistance would be appreciated by the residents for a walk around the river.
Do you love Horses? Would you like to assist us as we provide invaluable activities for people with a disability. You will be working with our horses, helping to lead or support riders in a lesson.
Volunteers will be supervised and supported in all roles. Duties include, cleaning stables, filling water buckets, haying and feeding horses, grooming horses and cleaning tack. For those with previous horse experience they may have opportunites to work horses, and handle young ones.
Harness and warm up the horses as required. Assist ambulant & wheelchair drivers into the horse drawn jinker.
Working with children with a disability and handling horses.
