Youth Street Teams operate every Friday and Saturday night between 11pm-5am, 16-20 volunteers over the age of 18 head out on foot and in vehicles to the streets of Melbourne CBD, and engage with vulnerable and intoxicated young people who have come into the City from the suburbs for a night out.
Night Watch extends the capabilities of the Mobile Outreach and Youth Street Teams services to operate 7 nights per week. Night Watch consists of 2 qualified & experienced Salvation Army workers & a team of trained volunteers who are based at 69 Bourke Street, Melb, from 11pm-7am, as well as being mobile in Melb CBD. The teams pro-actively engage with people on the streets, responding to calls from Police, Emergency Services and the general public.
Program Summary: The Night Café will build upon the existing daytime Lighthouse Café operation to provide a welcoming, safe and inclusive place for anyone homeless or at risk of homelessness in the City of Melbourne. Based at 69 Bourke Street Melbourne, the space will be open from 11PM-7am, 7 nights a week and will be staffed by 2 trained Salvation Army staff and supported by a team of 3-5 volunteers each night (partial cover of the shift is also welcome)
This cycling club organises bike related events such as group rides and racing. In this position you will be using Stop/Slow bats to control traffic and help with the erection and take-down of tents. Full training will be provided.

Volunteers are involved in search, storm damage, rescue and cliff rescue and other emergency services. Training is once a fortnight, with longer courses being run over a weekend which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. A program is set on the type of courses that will involve the Unit every six months and includes areas such as: Map Reading, Ladder Slide, Mountain Rescue, Chainsaw Operation, 4WD, Land/Search Techniques, Forensic Search, Basic General Rescue.
