LIVEWIRES PROVIDES AFTER SCHOOL CARE AND HOLIDAY PROGRAMS FOR PRIMARY AGED CHILDREN LIVING IN AND AROUND THE COLLINGWOOD PUBLIC HOUSING ESTATE.
Darwin has a variety of unique and beautiful beaches. A new location will be surveyed each Wednesday for marine debris, which are then sorted and catalogued on the day and added to a national database (Tangaroa Blue). Sites include Rapid Creek/Nightcliff, Mindil, East Point, Buffalo Creek, Casuarina and Lee Point. With your help we can reduce debris and preserve our beaches. This project aims to help reduce and control numbers of cane toads in local areas of Darwin. Our Knitting Group has been running for the past 10 years and has proven to be such a success with our residents. Its a place where people can come along and knit, socialise, have a cuppa or even just enjoy the company of others around. Volunteers need a sound knowledge of knitting and the ability to read and work through new knitting patterns.
