Landcare Conservation volunteers are required to work in the Nursery every Friday from 8am to 2pm to help maintain environment / tree planting and participate in special projects. You would be required to attend to the maintenance of an established garden, propagating, pruning, spraying, feeding plants, mulching and weeding and general maintenance.

Volunteers participate as part of a team on practical conservation projects and are given induction and training on all conservation tasks undertaken, along with safety training and supervision.

The focus of the Congwong Beach sand dunes restoration project is removal of invasive species from the dunes, to rehabilitate and re-establish the native vegetation. Sand dunes are vital in protecting the Sydney coast line.
