Port Phillip Youth Services is looking for two enthusiastic volunteers interested in joining FReeZA’s Unsigned Youth Committee to help organise and deliver live music, parties and other cultural, recreational and artist events that are drug, alcohol and smoke free.
Darwin has a variety of unique and beautiful beaches. A new location will be surveyed each Wednesday for marine debris, which are then sorted and catalogued on the day and added to a national database (Tangaroa Blue). Sites include Rapid Creek/Nightcliff, Mindil, East Point, Buffalo Creek, Casuarina and Lee Point. With your help we can reduce debris and preserve our beaches. This project aims to help reduce and control numbers of cane toads in local areas of Darwin. A volunteer is required to attend practice and performances, becoming a member of a Variety Concert which is put on weekly. Singing with a live band you will enjoy being part of a fun group and make new friends. A tenor voice is preferred.
Musical Instrumentalists are required for brass, woodwind and percussion sections of the band. Bass Clef is preferred but not essential from trombones, baritones and basses. Flute, clarinet, sax and bassoon players also needed. Applicants need to be able to read music, be AMEB grade 3 or equivalent and be able to attend rehearsals regularly. Rehearsing Thursdays 5.45pm to 8.30pm at Mudgeeraba Music Centre.
Can you play the piano and play old time music? We're looking for a piano player to accompany our singers at Kogarah just one hour per week. Any time, any day!
