The McLaren Vale Sporting Complex Inc. (MVSC) is unique in SA. It provides a permanent home to five local sporting clubs, Bocce, Netball, Tennis, Football and Cricket and has been continuously owned & voluntarily managed by the Community of McLaren Vale for the past 101 years. The Sporting Complex is used continually by all five McLaren Vale sporting clubs, with tennis and cricket in summer, football & netball in winter and bocce all-year round. Clubs play country league competition, where sports like netball & football play at the same grounds each weekend, with juniors in the morning and seniors in the afternoons. Sport is our priority and constitutional focus, however our grounds are also the location for different community functions and events, such as the Cancer Council’s “Relay for Life”, Harvest Festival, Light the Night for Leukaemia, Sea and Vines Festival, and Southern Vales Hot Rod Run. The 11 plus acres of land which makes up the MVSC is wholly owned by the community of McLaren Vale.
