Emotional support and companionship is so important for senior Australians, particularly following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of this, and to address the decline in volunteers during this time, the Australian Government is encouraging the return of volunteers and encouraging new volunteers to residential aged care facilities (RACFs).

Our purpose at Veterans Centre Australia (VCA) is to ensure that current and former serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families are provided easily accessible community support. As part of this, the VCA team support rehab and transitioning ADF personnel and their families and submission of DVA Claims.
We are looking for someone with an interest in working behind a small bar, who is reliable and can volunteer with minimum supervision. A Veteran background or awareness of a Veteran community beneficial, but not mandatory. We have 4-5 volunteers working the bar on a flexible roster and would love an additional 1-2 volunteers to spread the workload. Opening Hours 2pm to 6pm weekdays or 12pm to 6pm Weekends. Estimated hours 4-6 1 shift (or more), although hours negotiable
