Emotional support and companionship is so important for senior Australians, particularly following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of this, and to address the decline in volunteers during this time, the Australian Government is encouraging the return of volunteers and encouraging new volunteers to residential aged care facilities (RACFs).
Food For Change are looking for volunteers to help us at our farm site at the Briars in Mount Martha. Volunteers will be helping us grow fresh food to distribute to hungry Australians.
The Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (MUHREC) is seeking new volunteer members. The Committee reviews all research conducted by Monash University staff or students involving human participants to ensure it is conducted in accordance with National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) guidelines. The primary role of committee is to ensure protect the welfare and the rights of participants in research.

You will be able to get involved in a range of activities including pricing, sorting, preparing, presenting donated goods for sale and assisting customers. Counterpart is opening its doors to women affected by all types of cancer, after 19 years experience supporting women with breast or a gynaecological cancer. If you are a woman who has experienced cancer, it will be an exciting time to join our volunteer team. As a Peer Support Volunteer, you can help other women with cancer through listening, supporting and providing information.
