The Victor Harbor Branch of the South Australian National Trust was formed in the 1980's, and encompasses the Encounter Coast Discovery Museum which includes galleries, heritage displays, old photos, a library and a Gift Shop.
The aim of the organisation is to promote the values of local culture and heritage, by preserving collections, maintaining museum items and historic buildings and to encourage the public to embrace this culture.
