Provide support the community in times of emergencies and need. Members are trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities such as: - Responding to natural disasters - Floods, Cyclones, Storms, Tsunamis and Earthquakes - Responding to emergencies – Land Search, Vehicle Rescues (In specified areas) - Working with the community to prepare for storms and minimise the risk of damage - Provide support to other emergencies around the state - Provide support to other emergency services - Provide support in specialist areas – Communications Support Unit, Mounted Section, Canine Section
