AKC gives monetary grants, allowing children to participate in cultural, artistic, musical, sporting and educational activities; enhancing a child’s wellbeing through inclusion. Funds are raised via a once a year art auction and through private donations. AKC is a highly regarded small charity that has been changing lives for 28 years, with more exciting developments on the horizon. AKC inspires kids to use the arts to challenge themselves, build belief in their own creativity and improve their wellbeing. AKC design and create opportunities for a new generation to emerge with creative confidence. AKC runs two programs assisting kids: the Grants program and their own program: the ‘artsbus’ as well as recently creating the kids produced festival; Y(Our) Fest, hoarding artworks for social housing projects and their latest project: artsbusTV: a tv show written, directed and produced by kids.
