Whitfords Volunteer Sea Rescue Group (WVSRG) is one of the largest sea rescue groups in Western Australia, with over 100 active volunteers. We provide a marine radio service to the boating public around the clock, 365 days per year and we own and operate 3 purpose-built rescue vessels with which we regularly perform around 250 marine rescues each year, resulting in more than 500 people per year being brought safely back to shore each year. WVSRG provides a lifeline at sea to not just the boating public but anyone who uses the waters off the Perth coastline including but not limited to swimmers, divers, fishermen, kayakers & missing persons. We operate out of Hillarys Boat Harbour, Ocean Reef Boat Harbour & Mindarie Keys with an operational range extending from City Beach in the south, to Alkimos in the north and approximately 30 nautical miles out to sea.
