Australian Wildlife Conservancy

AWC is the largest private owner of land for conservation in Autralian, protecting endangered wildlife acorss more then 6.5 million hectares in iconmic regions such as the Kimberley, Cpae York, Kati Thanda-Lack Eyre and the Top End. Recognising that 'business as usual' for conservation in Austrlia will mean additional extinctions, AWC is developing and implementing a new model for conservation. Our volunteers are involved in a wide range of projecs. We utlilise volunteers to assist with field work for things like flora, fauna and bird durveys as well as trapping and spotlighting. Our volunteers also assist with land management tasks such as weeding, clearing tracks and infrastructure works. AWC runs several camp grounds and these are staffed by volunteers. We also have some volunteers assisting in office roles.
