Prince Henry Hospital Museum

Prince Henry Hospital Museum established by nurses to preserve the history of the once largest public hospital in NSW. Established in 1881 the hospital received smallpox patients from Sydney and then continued as an infectious diseases hospital as well as surgical and medical general hospital until closure in 2003. One of the first nursing training schools set up and continued in these years also until nurses went to be educated in Universities. The artefacts of medical and nursing equipment are on display with different exhibitions. The Museum is run by a volunteer led team.
