Emmy Monash is a not-for-profit organisation providing superior residential aged care services to the Jewish community of Melbourne . One hundred and seventy residents make Emmy Monash their home , about 50% are Holocaust survivors. Our residents are supported to live the life they choose to live in dignity , secure that they receive all the appropriate care to support their needs and simultaneously being offered opportunities to actively engage in their interests to maintain their wellbeing and connection with the community . Volunteers are an essential part of the Emmy family . They share their special skills and time to enrich the lives of our residents through supporting existing programs, providing social and emotional support and growing relationships with individual residents or running their own groups .
