Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria

Logo for Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria

RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria) provides horse related activities for people with disabilities. We have approximately 34 centres operating throughout Victoria. Our mission is to enable people with disabilities to experience enjoyment, challenge and a sense of achievement through participation in equestrian activities to improve their quality of life, attain personal goals and develop life skills. Our services depend on hundreds of passionate volunteers – and we need more! Volunteering opportunities are endless. We welcome volunteers between the ages of 15-85 years of age. Volunteers are required for horse handling, setting up of equipment, rider assistance and other roles. The hours will depend on when the Centre is open for lessons. Volunteers must demonstrate that they are physically capable of performing the duties they are allocated. Experience with horses and with people with disabilities is desirable but not essential. We can offer training in the variety of roles that you may perform.
