Young Assets Foundation is a youth and community organisation that empowers young people by creating spaces, opportunities and training for them to lead and implement change. YAF was forged by the gap between community service organisations and the communities themselves. YAF has a focus on working with young people from marginalised communities and an approach based on the firm belief that young people are their own greatest asset. In working to achieve our aim of youth led and controlled community services YAF have developed programs to empower young people, such as the Fitzroy Youth Homework Club and the YAF Schools Program, and have created and utilised opportunities to influence decision making of established community organisations and peak bodies, such as the Richmond Covid-19 Community Task Force.
