Logo for West Australian Marathon Club (Inc)

The West Australian Marathon Club was founded in 1970 to bring together West Aussies who love to run. Since then, we’ve grown to become WA’s largest running club, now with over 1,000 members aged from four to over eighty. We host a range of club runs and major events year-round. Whatever your level, you’re welcome at WAMC. * You don’t need to be a member or even a runner to volunteer at the club! Learn new skills and be part of the teams that bring race events together * Volunteers are the life blood of our organisation and events. Opportunities exist to work with our lean yet supportive and fun team and committee for race events. Get involved as Race Director, course set up and pack down, lead cyclists, timing, marshaling, drink stations, catering and registrations; and pre-event preparation (collating race packs and medals, bib collection). Then witness the race excitement as runners take to the course! We are also always looking for avid volunteers to bring skills like marketing, graphic design, PR, administration, social media and IT to improve our operations and grow the club's profile. Our major events offer fantastic brand exposure and we are always open to new sponsorship opportunities; products, cash, prizes and voucher donations. Running is not just about competing for medals. Along with the obvious physical benefits, research shows running is fantastic for stress management, vitamin D exposure, mood elevation, sleep and brain function. The club offers training sessions throughout the week to run with a group to keep you focused, motivated and part of a community of like-minded people. Find us on Facebook, Instagram and Strava!
