Edmund Rice Community & Refugee Services seeks to improve the lives of, and opportunities for, children and young people of a refugee or disadvantaged background by supporting them in their education and providing them with access to free learning support along with a range of social activities throughout the year. We welcome students from all countries and cultural backgrounds. Across our three Homework Clubs at St Albans, Flemington and Tarneit, we have students from Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, South Sudan, Somalia, Ghana, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Afghanistan and Iran. Being a mentor or volunteer tutor with us is very rewarding opportunity as you support in brightening a child’s day, increasing their confidence, and helping them to feel good about learning. At the same time, you receive valuable experience for yourself whilst meaningfully connecting with some awesome kids!
