LIVING & LEARNING NILLUMBIK

Neighbourhood House Support PURPOSE: To provide general and administrative support to Living & Learning Nillumbik. Duties will have a centre operations and team focus including meet and greet, general administration support and house-keeping. LOCATION: Living & Learning Nillumbik Centres in Diamond Creek, Panton Hill or Eltham KEY TASKS: Tasks may include: Meet and greet any visitors to the site Respond to general enquiries (walk-ins, phone and email) Support staff with site activities such as maintenance requests, stationary orders, kitchen supplies, keeping the site tidy and clean Support staff with general admin tasks such as printing and scanning, mail collection, data entry Support eNews development and other publications Ad Hoc Marketing/ communications Contribute to the collection of a bank of stories shared by participants Support NH coordinators to ensure all information displayed on the notice boards remains current Support Zoom set-up and support for online groups Support with festivals and events Support site operations, e.g. opening and closing, activation and de-activation of alarms Support the creation of a range of documentation such as User manuals, Cheat sheets, Instructions, site notices, Tutor folders Support community engagement activities Other ad hoc tasks as needed REPORTS TO: Neighbourhood House Coordinator TIME COMMITMENT: 3-5 hours per week REQUIRED SKILLS: Excellent communication and organisation skills Excellent customer service skills Competent use of MS Word, and Excel software An understanding of the internet and its varied functions Attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment SUPPORT: Organisational induction training and specific task training will be provided. All Living & Learning Nillumbik volunteer supervisors encourage an open door communication environment for volunteers to ask any questions or raise any concerns.
