The Friends of The Australiana Pioneer Village

The Australiana Pioneer Village is a NSW Heritage Listed Open Air Museum at Wilberforce - it is set in 28 acres of beautiful picnic grounds. The Friends Of The Australiana Pioneer Village Inc was originally formed in 1987 and The Village is run entirely by Volunteers - we will re-open to the Public after fires, floods and Covid 19 on Sunday 9th January, 2022. We have a wonderful collection of original Hawkesbury buildings that were likely to be demolished or were being neglected - they were moved to the site in the late 1960s/early 1970s - these include a Bank, Shearing Shed, Church, Stables, Damper Camp, Post Office etc . . . The Friends of The APV and the General Public fought tirelessly for 10 years to save The Village from being sold off - we are extremely passionate and put our hearts and souls into showcasing our Hawkesbury Pioneers - the way they lived, worked and worshiped - The Village is a major draw card for families to enjoy a day out, have a picnic, ride a mini train, have a tractor hay ride, feed animals or enjoy the use of free BBQs, stroll The Village and our shops.
